Local guide

Borrowing in Indore.

Indore is Madhya Pradesh’s largest commercial city: a trading centre with wholesale markets such as Siyaganj, a hub for education and healthcare, IT offices along the Super Corridor, and factories in the auto and pharma belt at Pithampur and along Sanwer Road. Its namkeen and food businesses are known across India.

Personal loans in Indore often pay for weddings, education, medical treatment and home improvement. Salaried applicants should keep salary slips and 3 months of bank statements ready; traders and other self-employed borrowers, recent ITRs and 6 months of bank statements. For address proof, a rent agreement and a recent bill from MP Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company are common. Many students and young professionals move here from other districts, so keep proof of your current Indore address ready.

Good to know

Your rights as a borrower.

  • A Key Fact Statement before you sign

The lender must give you a Key Fact Statement with the APR, every fee and the repayment schedule before you sign. It stays valid for at least three working days, and a fee that isn’t in it can’t be charged without your consent.

  • Prepaying a floating-rate loan

For floating-rate personal loans sanctioned or renewed from 1 January 2026, lenders can’t charge a fee to prepay. Most personal loans have a fixed rate, so check the prepayment terms in the KFS.

  • Never pay to get a loan

Firstfund doesn’t charge you to apply. A real lender pays the loan into your own bank account, deducts any processing fee shown in the KFS, and never asks for money upfront.

Based on Reserve Bank of India directions on Key Facts Statements (2024), pre-payment charges (2025) and digital lending (2025). Your lender’s KFS and loan agreement have the final terms.

Questions

Personal loans in Indore: FAQs.

Do I need to visit a branch in Indore?

Usually not. RBI rules let banks and NBFCs complete KYC by video call, and many collect documents online or at your doorstep. Some lenders may still ask you to visit a branch.

I’ve just moved to Indore. Can I still apply?

Yes. Lenders may ask for proof of your current address, such as a rent agreement or utility bill, and may check how long you’ve lived and worked here.

Are interest rates different in Indore?

Rates depend mainly on the lender and your profile: income, credit history and existing loans. Your city affects which lenders can serve you.

I work at Pithampur but live in Indore. Which PIN code counts?

Lenders usually go by where you live, because that is the address on your application and loan agreement. Share your home PIN code; your employer’s address is part of your job details.

I run a small shop and file ITR. Can I take a personal loan?

Yes, as a self-employed applicant. Lenders look at your ITR, bank statements and how long your shop has been running. If the money is for the shop itself, a business loan may suit you better.

Does Firstfund charge me anything?

No. Sharing your details with Firstfund is free. Lenders may charge a processing fee, which they must show in the Key Fact Statement.
