Local guide

Doing business in Jaipur.

Jaipur’s businesses range from gems and jewellery, cut and polished in the walled city and exported from the gems and jewellery SEZ at Sitapura, to block-printed textiles from Sanganer and Bagru, handicrafts and tourism. Manufacturing sits in industrial areas such as Sitapura and VKIA.

Exporters here often need money between buying raw material and being paid by buyers abroad, and many banks offer packing credit before shipment and finance against export bills after it. Craft and textile units borrow for stock ahead of the wedding, festive and tourist seasons. Keep your GST returns and bank statements ready and, if you export, your Importer Exporter Code (IEC) and shipping records.

Lenders decide PIN code by PIN code which areas they serve, so options in Sitapura may differ from those in the walled city. Share your business PIN code to see who can lend to you.

Good to know

Your rights as a business borrower.

  • A Key Fact Statement before you sign

For MSME term loans, the lender must give you a Key Fact Statement with the APR, every fee and the repayment schedule before you sign. A fee that isn’t in it can’t be charged without your consent.

  • No prepayment fee on many floating-rate loans

For floating-rate business loans to individuals and micro and small enterprises, sanctioned or renewed from 1 January 2026, banks and larger NBFCs can’t charge a prepayment fee. Small finance banks, regional rural banks, some co-operative banks and mid-sized NBFCs can’t charge one on such loans up to ₹50 lakh.

  • Never pay to get a loan

Firstfund doesn’t charge you to apply. A real lender pays the loan into your business’s bank account, deducts any processing fee shown in the KFS, and never asks for money upfront.

Based on Reserve Bank of India directions on Key Facts Statements (2024), pre-payment charges (2025) and digital lending (2025). Your lender’s KFS and loan agreement have the final terms.

Questions

Business loans in Jaipur: FAQs.

Does my business need to be in Jaipur?

Lenders lend where they operate, so where your business is registered and runs decides which lenders can serve you. Share your business PIN code and our team will check.

Do I need GST registration?

Many lenders ask for it, but not all. Some accept other business proof, such as Udyam registration or a shop licence, especially for smaller amounts.

Do I need collateral?

Not always. Many lenders offer unsecured business loans. Larger amounts or longer tenures may need security, such as property or the equipment you buy.

I export to buyers abroad. Can I borrow before I am paid?

Many banks offer export credit: packing credit to buy material and make the goods, and post-shipment finance against your export bills. You need an IEC and the export order or letter of credit.

My sales peak in the tourist season. Can repayments follow that?

Some lenders offer a working capital limit that you draw on when you buy stock and repay as you sell, instead of a fixed EMI. Bank statements for the whole year help lenders see your full cycle.

Does Firstfund charge me anything?

No. Sharing your details with Firstfund is free. Lenders may charge a processing fee, which they must show in the Key Fact Statement.
