Local guide

Borrowing in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad’s jobs run from HITEC City, Gachibowli and the Financial District to pharma and manufacturing in Genome Valley, Jeedimetla and Patancheru, with long-established trade in the old city. Many borrowers are salaried professionals who moved from Telangana’s districts, Andhra Pradesh or further away.

People here borrow for a move to a new flat, a family wedding, medical costs and education. If your Aadhaar address is in another district or state, keep a rent agreement and a recent TGSPDCL electricity bill for your current home. Lenders also check your employer and your salary credits, so recent salary slips and bank statements make the process quicker.

Lenders decide PIN code by PIN code which areas they serve, so share yours to see who can lend to you.

Lenders differ by PIN code.

Each lender serves its own areas. When you apply, we show you only the lenders that cover your PIN code.

  • Indian resident
  • Age 21 to 60 years
  • Salaried or self-employed with regular income
  • Minimum monthly income of ₹15,000
  • A credit history that meets each lender’s policy

  • PAN card
  • Aadhaar (for KYC, with your consent)
  • Bank statements for the last 3 months (salaried) or 6 months (self-employed)

Good to know

Your rights as a borrower.

  • A Key Fact Statement before you sign

The lender must give you a Key Fact Statement with the APR, every fee and the repayment schedule before you sign. It stays valid for at least three working days, and a fee that isn’t in it can’t be charged without your consent.

  • Prepaying a floating-rate loan

For floating-rate personal loans sanctioned or renewed from 1 January 2026, lenders can’t charge a fee to prepay. Most personal loans have a fixed rate, so check the prepayment terms in the KFS.

  • Never pay to get a loan

Firstfund doesn’t charge you to apply. A real lender pays the loan into your own bank account, deducts any processing fee shown in the KFS, and never asks for money upfront.

Based on Reserve Bank of India directions on Key Facts Statements (2024), pre-payment charges (2025) and digital lending (2025). Your lender’s KFS and loan agreement have the final terms.

Questions

Personal loans in Hyderabad: FAQs.

Do I need to visit a branch in Hyderabad?

Usually not. RBI rules let banks and NBFCs complete KYC by video call, and many collect documents online or at your doorstep. Some lenders may still ask you to visit a branch.

I’ve just moved to Hyderabad. Can I still apply?

Yes. Lenders may ask for proof of your current address, such as a rent agreement or utility bill, and may check how long you’ve lived and worked here.

Are interest rates different in Hyderabad?

Rates depend mainly on the lender and your profile: income, credit history and existing loans. Your city affects which lenders can serve you.

My Aadhaar has my hometown address in Andhra Pradesh. Is that a problem?

No, it’s common. Lenders ask for proof of your current Hyderabad address, such as a rent agreement or a recent utility bill, alongside your Aadhaar.

Do lenders cover areas outside the city, like Shamshabad or Patancheru?

Many do. Lenders decide by PIN code, not by city limits, so share yours and our team will check.

Does Firstfund charge me anything?

No. Sharing your details with Firstfund is free. Lenders may charge a processing fee, which they must show in the Key Fact Statement.
