Local guide

Doing business in Gurugram.

Gurugram’s businesses include automobile component makers in Manesar and IMT around the large car plants, garment exporters and light manufacturing in Udyog Vihar, and the many service firms, caterers, transport operators and IT vendors that work for the city’s corporate offices.

Component makers often borrow for machines and tooling when a large customer adds a model, and for working capital while their bills wait to be paid. Service firms need money for salaries and running costs before clients pay. Lenders look at your customers, GST returns and bank statements. Under the MSMED Act, buyers should pay micro and small suppliers within 45 days, and TReDS lets you sell invoices raised on large buyers.

Coverage is set PIN code by PIN code, and Manesar and IMT lie outside Gurugram city, so options can differ from those in town. Share your business PIN code to see who can lend to you.

Good to know

Your rights as a business borrower.

  • A Key Fact Statement before you sign

For MSME term loans, the lender must give you a Key Fact Statement with the APR, every fee and the repayment schedule before you sign. A fee that isn’t in it can’t be charged without your consent.

  • No prepayment fee on many floating-rate loans

For floating-rate business loans to individuals and micro and small enterprises, sanctioned or renewed from 1 January 2026, banks and larger NBFCs can’t charge a prepayment fee. Small finance banks, regional rural banks, some co-operative banks and mid-sized NBFCs can’t charge one on such loans up to ₹50 lakh.

  • Never pay to get a loan

Firstfund doesn’t charge you to apply. A real lender pays the loan into your business’s bank account, deducts any processing fee shown in the KFS, and never asks for money upfront.

Based on Reserve Bank of India directions on Key Facts Statements (2024), pre-payment charges (2025) and digital lending (2025). Your lender’s KFS and loan agreement have the final terms.

Questions

Business loans in Gurugram: FAQs.

Does my business need to be in Gurugram?

Lenders lend where they operate, so where your business is registered and runs decides which lenders can serve you. Share your business PIN code and our team will check.

Do I need GST registration?

Many lenders ask for it, but not all. Some accept other business proof, such as Udyam registration or a shop licence, especially for smaller amounts.

Do I need collateral?

Not always. Many lenders offer unsecured business loans. Larger amounts or longer tenures may need security, such as property or the equipment you buy.

I supply a large car maker. Can I borrow against my bills?

Yes. Invoice discounting, including on TReDS, turns bills raised on large buyers into cash before they pay. Some lenders also set a working capital limit based on your orders.

My firm provides services, with no stock or machines. Can I get a business loan?

Yes. Lenders look at your contracts, how regularly clients pay, and your GST returns and bank statements. Many loans to micro and small service businesses need no collateral, because of the CGTMSE guarantee.

Does Firstfund charge me anything?

No. Sharing your details with Firstfund is free. Lenders may charge a processing fee, which they must show in the Key Fact Statement.
